Pastoor Johan is in Harrismith gebore en het in Witbank gematrikuleer. Daarna het hy sy teologiese studies aan die AGS Teologiese Seminarium voltooi in 1989. Daarna is hy as kapelaan deur die SADF vir sy dienspligjaar in Kaapstad geplaas. In die Kaap was hy medeleraar van AGS Rondebosch-Oos, daarna hoofleraar van AGS Kaapstad, en vir 'n kort periode medeleraar in AGS Goodwood. Hy het Jasmin in 2007 ontmoet en is in 2008 met haar getroud. Na 24 jaar in die Kaap is hulle as medeleraarspaar beroep na Christensentrum AGS Elspark. Van 2016 af is hulle die hoofleraarspaar van Christensentrum. 

Dion Watson completed his theological studies at the AFM Theological Seminary in 1989. The SADF placed him for his naional service year as a Navy Chaplain in Durban. From 1991 to 1993 he served as co-pastor in Westdene AFM aseembly in Bloemfontein. From 1994-1996 he served as co-pastor in Westering AFM assembly in Port Elizabeth. He left the ministry to work in construction until his wife died. He stays on a farmlet outside Meyerton and is in the process of being re-ordained as a pastor of the AFM. Dion is pionering an English service for Christensentrum AFM Elspark.
